Records suggest the game may have been played as far back as the
fifteenth century in France where it is sometime known as punto banco. It has kept it's elegant trait and is still one of the most appealing games to the well situated individuals in our
society. Baccarat has a history overseas too, which is evidenced by its popularity among the Asian population who visit Las Vegas each year. The table is staffed by only one dealer who is responsible for handling the cards. Baccarat is a classic
casino game commonly associated with elite high rollers and extravagant
trappings. It is
often quite large and can have seating for as many as twelve people. Baccarat
is a card game played with a single deck of cards. Baccarat generally played in a special roped-off part of the casino, with well-dressed players. Baccarat (pronounced bah-kah-rah) does have a couple of things in common with blackjack. One hand is called "Banker" and the other hand is deceptively called "Player", but you can bet on either
hand. An 8 is an automatic win, unless the other side has a 9 (loss) or an 8 (tie) For Player hands, the player hits on 0-5, and stands on 6-9.
Remember that 8 & 9 are usually automatic wins. Most games with a low edge require you to learn some strategy; in Baccarat, you get the some low edge no matter what, because the only decisions you make are how much to bet and which of the two low-edge hands you want to bet on, Player or Banker.
The casino takes a 5% commission on winning hands when you bet on Banker. If the
PLAYER STANDS, the DEALER must: draw if Dealers total is 0 to 5; stand if
Dealers total is 6 or 7. The suits of the cards
have no meaning in the game.Baccarat in UK (United Kingdom) offers game reviews, UK baccarat casinos and other gambling information. Just visit Baccarat 9 UK to read more about baccarat.
